Thanksgiving Football and Pot Luck

November 22nd we will celebrate Thanksgiving as Church with our Second Annual Pigskin Classic Flag Football Game and Thanksgiving Pot Luck.

The football game will be held at Kereiakes Park on Cemetary Rd. off Exit 26 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. From exit 26 or Lovers Lane simply turn left and proceed for about 1 and 1/2 miles until you see the Park entrance on your right. If coming from the ByPass it is about 1/2 mile on your left. Enter the park and proceed to the back right parking lot by the picnic tables.

The pot luck will be held at the Shaker Tavern B&B which is located on South Union Highway 73 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. The Shaker Tavern is located approximately 1 1/2 miles off Russelville Road 10 miles south of The Natcher Parkway. Simply head south on Russelleville Road 10 miles until you come to South Union Highway 73 and turn left. Proceed approximately 1 1/2 miles and you will see the Shaker Tavern on your left. If you go past the rail road tracks you have gone too far.

Join us Sunday mornings as we go on a journey through the Book of Proverbs. If you are not familiar with the Bible you will be happily surprised at just how practical the Book of Proverbs is to your daily life.

Biblical Financial Management

Over the next four weeks we at Rolling Hills are going to open the Bible and read of what God has to say about money. We will cover such topics such as debt, savings, giving, tithes and offerings.

Food will be provided and you will also receive a handout of all verses in the Bible that deal directly or indirectly with money and of course great time in fellowship with fellow believers in Jesus Christ.

What a Summer

Wow, what a summer. We’re going through the Book of Acts learning about Paul’s perseverance and witnessing the spread of the Gospel throughout Ancient Rome. We watched two Epicenter sessions from Joel Rosenberg and Pastor Chuck Smith.

We’ve baptized 15 people and sewn many more seeds. On September 11th we are going to watch live via Internet Broadband the Inside the Revolution Town Hall meeting being hosted at our sister church Calvary Chapel Philadelphia. I hope you all have seen your faith grow and are looking forward to the future.

Please pray that the Lord would continue to guide us as we seek His will for our Church Body…
